Compare Golf Membership Costs in Naples, Florida

The typical structure for golf memberships in Naples, Florida is very similar amongst most country clubs, but some vary a little(Call or email me for specifics). Typically there will be an initial membership cost of say 100k to join a country club. Most clubs give you 80-90% equity of the initial fee when you sell your home. If the purchaser of your home decides not to buy a golf membership, you may have to put your membership on a waiting list for the next buyer, but most people will sell there home with membership to avoid the waiting list process. Annual dues for most country clubs in Naples, range from 8,000-12,000/year. Many homeowners in Naples are not avid golfers, but enjoy the social life at the clubhouse/dining/tennis facilities/exercise facilities, etc. and can opt to purchase a social membership/sports membership for a reduced rate typically around 20k initial fee and 4-5k/ yearly dues. Sports membership will give you limited access to golf as well, which is a huge plus! I have created a wonderful page to allow buyers to compare membership costs between Naples, Florida golf course communities. I'd be happy to answer any additional questions about the amenities offered or types of homes in specific golf communities(David@DavidNaples.com).

For Example: Mediterra is one of the elite golfing communities in Naples, Florida and they have an initial fee of 185k with 10k/year in dues and 100% of that is refundable upon selling your home. A social membership is a great option at 40k intial fee and 4,500/year dues. The great part about Mediterra is that they have a private beach club!

Weather Info for beautiful Naples, Florida

The months of January-April are well known as the best weather in Naples, Florida or the "in-season" time to us Floridians. Annual Merrill Lynch Shootout hosted by Greg Norman in Naples FL

Naples, Florida is home to the Merrill Lynch Shootout in the end of every year. This year the tournament takes place December 5th-9th, 2007 at Tiburon. The tournament always brings an impressive list of top PGA tour golfers(a very impressive list, ie Fred Couples, etc), mainly because it's hosted by the great Greg Norman. I do not work for either WCI or Merrill Lynch, but the promotion listed below is truly the best golf deal in Florida and I wanted to share this with all those who enjoy playing the game.

Best Golf Package in Florida!

If you are a golfer, one of the best deals you'll ever come across is the taste of WCI package. For only 100 dollars, you get 48 passes to 12 private courses in Southwest Florida and a ticket to the event! The package even includes access to Tiburon & the highly touted Tuscany Reserve, which are extremely difficult to gain access. Limited supply of tickets available for the Taste of WCI.

For up-to-date information on all things related to the Merrill Lynch Shootout, please visit the official website at http://www.mlshootout.com/. If you would like a ticket brochure mailed directly to you, please call the Merrill Lynch Shootout tournament office at (888) 66-SHARK.

What are Bundled Golf Communities in Naples FL?

Naples, Florida has an impressive selection of golf courses and a couple different ways to take advantage. Most golf courses in Naples, Fl are private and require membership at one of the courses. Once you are a member at your own course, you will then be open to what's called a "reciprical list" of golf courses around the area. Feel free to call or email me with any questions?

Most people are used to the traditional country club membership structure by paying an upfront refundable fee of $50,000 for instance and then paying annual dues of $8,000/year. The structure is different at almost every course and I have created a link to compare these different membership fees at various courses(Compare Golf Communities in Naples, FL) Many homeowners in golf courses communities can choose whether to be a member or not? In other words, a homeowner can enjoy the views and amenities of a beautiful golf course community without paying for golf membership.

In a bundled golf community, a homeowner is required to pay for golf dues as long as you are a homeowner and your daily golf fees are drastically reduced. For instance, Worthington golf club has an annual fee of 5600/year and your cart fee is only 4 dollars per round of golf. If you are considering a bundled golf community, it is important that you play and enjoy the course before you buy a home. You will be obligated to pay the golf fees for as long as you live there. A few examples of well known bundled golf communities are listed below.

Naples, Florida bundled golf communities:
